PANZER SHOP /URAL RECOVERY VEHICLE

I built this as a fill in build between builds to try out the acrilic mig paint  modulation set for russian green....
I used the Trumpeter Ural truck as the base for the Panzer shop resin conversion set..
The trumpeter kit builds up reasonably easy with no fit issues,
The pansershop resin conversion set is a little awkward to make it fit to the  truck and some of the resin bits are a little somewhat incorrect but i just went with what i had and built it up as a out of box type build with a little fettling here and there ,i added some extra fittings from an old italiera work shop kit just to add some detail...
it did build up into an interesting truck
i went with a faded out look of an old truck from the Ukrane..i like these paint sets, they go on easy they dry fast and they dont smell like humbrol paints but are not as hard wearing as enamel paints so need handling carefully untill its had a final coat of matt cote..
i painted it in  primer first then added the greens  from the set working dark to light,i then sprayed it with clear gloss added the decals, glossed over the decals then pinwashed it, dry brushed it and gave it a coat of matt cote..

BAT-M engineers vehicle ..panzer shop

BAT-M Heavy Engineers vehicle This kit started off as one of the Panzershop full resin kits. There were a lot of missing parts/details missing from this kit and a lot of parts made incorrectly ,so there is about 45% of this kit which is scratch built. The paints are Humbrol and this was applied with an airbrush,i used 3 tins of green paint, one was darkened using a dark green, one was as tin,and the last tin was lightened with a light green. I applied the darkend green   over  around  the joints and  around the doors and panels,i then filled in with the normal green and highlighted with the lightened green The whole model was colour washed followed by dry brushing using the 2 lighter shades of green . This model was a gold medal winner at the IPMS UK  International  Scale model word 2010 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
